The Pittsburgh Penguins hockey club from Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania, USA) was founded in 1967. From 1926 to 1930 Pittsburgh was the home of the Pittsburgh Pirates NHL team, and from 1930-1967 the Pittsburgh Hornets played in the AHL.
